Description:
Our 6 bed and breakfast cottages nestle in 5 hectares of beautifully landscaped grounds in the heart of the Eastern Algarve. Together they form the quinta guesthouse a haven of character, comfort and tranquillity. Family run and with lots of amenities it is the ideal place to unwind and indulge yourself in the Algarve sunshine.

Each traditional Algarve cottage is set in mature gardens full of flowers, fruit trees and shrubs and overlooks the swimming pool. The old farmhouse has been sympathetically restored retaining many of its original features and boasts a wide shady porch and a bar/bistro by the pool. This is where breakfast is served and home cooked meals prepared upon request, with fresh local ingredients. There are lots of home comforts including air conditioning, heating, satellite TV and free wireless internet access. As well as the two pools, there is a tennis court, games room, mini gym, sauna, walking or jogging trails and bikes are available. An elegant function room is also available for weddings and private parties.

Sleeps:
Each cottage sleeps up to five people. So a maximum of 30 people may stay in the quinta at any one time. We accept individual and group bookings

Please add 25% of the price if you require an extra bed. Babies under 2 years stay for free.

Amenities
In your Algarve cottage
The 6 cottages each consist of a twin bedroom, shower room and a comfy lounge. The lounge contains two beds, with full sprung mattresses, which double up as sofas. There is also a TV, working fireplace, table and chairs in the lounge. The cottages have air conditioning and heating. The shower room has a bidet, heated towel rail and hairdryer. Each cottage has its own fridge and kettle for tea/coffee making. A microwave is available for use in the bistro. Rooms are cleaned daily. Cots, bed-guards and highchairs are available. You have your own front door key so you can come and go as you please.

Communal Areas:
There is a barbecue area and many places to sit in the sun or shade. There is a swimming pool with roman steps into shallow end. There are lots of sun loungers and tables around the pool so you can relax with a drink or a good book. The games room has table football, pool table, many puzzles and games for all ages and a TV. The bar and bistro serves food and drinks and has Satellite TV. There is also a free wireless internet connection.
The quinta has extensive grounds with pretty gardens, tennis courts, mini gym, walking and jogging trails. You may use these facilities free of charge.

A taste of the Algarve
Breakfast in your Algarve cottage will be freshly baked local bread, sheep and goats cheese, home made jam, fresh fruit, and fresh orange juice. At lunch and dinner you will be able to try typical Algarvean and Portuguese dishes as well as a fine selection of the country's wine and cheeses. Fast food and snacks are also available.

Activities and Excursions Nearby
The east of the Algarve is famous for its unspoilt natural beauty, beaches and wildlife. There are also lots of interesting historical towns and quintessential villages to explore. We can also organise cultural events.

Beaches
There are many stunning beaches around the quinta. The fishing village of Fuzeta is about 15 minutes drive from the quinta and has a beautiful, clean sandy beach with lifeguard in high season and lots of bars and restaurants near the beach, and a small cafe on the beach itself. You can also catch a small water taxi to Ilha de Tavira from here. 4 Waters (Quatra Aguas) is a lovely beach with many fish restaurants and fun water sports. To get there you should drive into Tavira which takes 15 minutes and take a ferry to the beach. When you arrive just ask - we’ll be happy to tell you how to get to any of the local beaches or attractions

Exploring the Countryside
The countryside lends itself to exploration so why not go walking, cycling or horse riding and discover more of the region’s natural beauty, history and quaint villages. The Ria Formosa nature reserve is a beautiful place to walk and is renowned for bird watching

On the water
There are many interesting boat trips available nearby as well as fishing, canoeing, all types of water sports and sailing schools .

Golf
The east of the Algarve is fast gaining a reputation as the new place to go for golfers and there are many excellent courses nearby.

Location and Access

The cottages are in the east of the Algarve approximately 20 minutes drive from Faro airport. There is easy access to the A22 motorway and from there to the rest of the Algarve and Southern Spain. We do recommend car hire but transfers are available. The nearest village Santa Catarina is about 1km away, with typical Portuguese architecture and small shops. Tavira is the nearest town and has many shops, restaurants, historical churches and the ruins of a castle set in beautiful gardens. A river runs through the centre with an old Roman bridge crossing it. The town on Faro is only 25 minutes drive away, with a mixture of old and new shops, many restaurants, cinemas, theatres and a small marina.

Booking Details
A deposit of 40% is required on booking with the balance payable upon arrival.
