Beginner's Rock Climbing in the Algarve
For beginners our 11 metre limestone rocks offer you the change to try your hand at climbing in spectacular surroundings. We have exclusive use of two rocks, one just outside Lagos with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and the other a stones throw away from a secluded beach.
Our beginners program offers 3 levels of difficulty on each spot so are suitable for all abilities and mixed ability groups. Both climbs are top roping and graded as 4A climbs and you'll also get the chance to abseil. Once you have conquered these rocks you are ready to go on and try the big stuff!
Rock Climbing for intermediate and experienced climbers.
If you are an experienced climber come with us to sample the best sports routes the Algarve has to offer including Rocha de Pena where more than 20 different buttresses span a 3km ridge. Here you can choose between a wide range of climbs from grades 3b – 8a.
For the most dedicated and experienced climber the 600+ routes over the spectacular sea cliffs of Sagres offer a unique challenge in the town once thought of as the edge of the world.
All routes are bolted. If you'd like to tackle a variety of the Algarve's routes we'd be happy to plan a rock climbing holiday for you.
Deep Water Soloing (psicobloc)
New to the Algarve: guided deep water soloing trips! You will travel via sea kayak to a secluded spot where you face the challenge of climbing a world class DWS crag straight from the ocean. There are lots of different routes up the 12 metre crag so it is suitable for climbers of all abilities.
Deep water soloing is available from June to September sea conditions permitting.
