We currently offer four guided walking tours of Lisbon on a regular basis. All the tours last half a day and are at a gentle, relaxed pace so suitable for everyone. Best of Lisbon Walking Tour

This tour is the ideal way to see all the major sites of central Lisbon and the districts of Baixa, Chiado and Alfama. Local guides give you a great insight into Lisbon's lifestyle, history and culture as well useful tips. Highlights include:
  • Visit the Rossio Square, the heart of both the old and new Lisbon.
  • Learn how the old city of Lisbon was destroyed in the 18th century and then totally rebuilt to become the city of today.
  • Learn about the favorite liqueur of many Portuguese and a typical drink in Lisbon - Ginjinha;
  • Take a look at the Obelisk in the middle of Restauradores Square. It commemorates the Restoration of Portugal's independence from Spain in 1640, after sixty years of Spanish rule.

  • This walk takes approximately 3 hours costs from €15 to €18 per person (price dependent on group size).

    Gourmet Lisbon Food and Wine Tour

    Enjoy the traditional flavours of Portugal in Lisbon's traditional cafes. Our enthusiastic guide will give you lots of insider knowledge on Portuguese wine, petiscos, food and Fado. So bring your appetite and enjoy some good foodie company!

  • Find out about Lisbon's great cafes, such as the 18th-century Cafe Nicola and Portugal's strong cafe culture.

  • Finish your gourmet tour in style, in the Neo-Moorish Casa do Alentejo, a 17th-century palace, unassuming on the outside, hiding one of the most intriguing interiors in the city. Here, in the upstairs bar, you will sit down for a nibble and your guide will introduce you to some of Portugal's most famous delicacies, accompanied by a delicious Alentejo wine.
  • This tour has to start after 4:30pm and takes approximately 3 hours. Tasting locations may be subject to change. It costs from €32 to €38 per person (price dependent on group size).

    Experience Lisbon Walk

    Indulge your appetite while seeing the best of the city on this mouth-watering tour! Brush up on Portuguese history, visit culturally diverse neighborhoods, admire classical architecture, and enjoy a fun ferry ride while feasting on pastries, cheese, seafood, wine and coffee!
  • Meet an informative, local guide at the historic Restauradores Square, where a striking obelisk commemorates the restoration of Portugal's independence back in 1640, after decades of Spanish rule.
  • Walk past the beautiful gothic-style Rossio train station, then visit Rossio (Lisbon's main square). Soak up some Lisbon sightseeing highlights and history while visiting churches and taverns, then stop to taste Portuguese cheese and authentic, locally made marmalade.
  • Continue on to explore the magnetic neighborhood of Mouraria - a melting pot of cultures, and a place you won't see on other Lisbon tours! Pass small churches, mosques and shops selling goods from all corners of the globe.
  • Learn about Fado (Portugal's hauntingly beautiful song) and walk past the birthplace of the legendary Maria Severa, Fado's first superstar who used to sing in Lisbon's taverns. Our stop at a small, hidden bakery, serving traditional pastries and espresso coffee will provide a tasty pick-me-up and another insight into the local cuisine.
  • Next, we hop on the metro and take a short trip to the Tagus River, the subject of many Portuguese songs and poems. There we will board a ferry and journey to the picturesque Cacilhas, where Portuguese green wine and freshly-caught seafood awaits! Enjoy magnificent views from the South Bank before returning to Lisbon.
  • The tour lasts approximately 4 hours and costs from €38 per person.

    Sunset, Fado and Tapas Walking Tour

    This evening tour focuses on the culture of Lisbon. It includes a tram ride, a change to explore the areas of Martim Moniz, Graca and Alfama, try traditional Ginja liquor, and visit an old palace fado house for a live fado show with tapas dinner and wine. Fado is a traditional Portuguese song- mournful and beautiful- well worth seeing live. It is €58/person including tapas and drinks and lasts approximately 4 hours. Please note from late October to late March the sunset will not be seen during the tour. The Lisbon walking tours are held regularly all year round.
