The lusitano horses of Portugal are renowned world wide for their ability, good temperament and beauty. At our small riding centre in central Portugal we offer you the opportunity to ride and learn more about these stunning horses. Lusitano horses are an integral part of the culture of this region and there are numerous studs and events in the local area. We were attracted to this area by the quality of the horses, the hospitality of the local people and the beauty of the landscapes. So why not join us for a relaxing and rewarding holiday?
Riding Holidays
Our standard riding holidays last for 6 days and combine great riding with the opportunity to relax in the farm's beautiful surroundings or explore the local area. Each day you can choose between a riding lesson in our international sized arena, or hacking out on local lanes and through forests.
The Lusitano Horses Experience
On this holiday you can choose between riding lessons or hacks for five days of your holiday and in addition we'll take you on a full day visit to the Alter Real Stud where you'll get a great insight into a working Lusitano horses stud farm and an afternoon's visit to a local equestrian venue or event depending on what coincides with your holiday.

Flexible Holiday
We are happy to design a holiday especially for you. You are welcome to come on a short break and to ride just once or every day. You can combine riding with other activities- perhaps you wish to ride and your friend would prefer to go cycling, walking, sight seeing or just relax in the garden. Accommodation is charged at the standard rate and meals and riding as you book them. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Children and beginners are welcome. Our friendly pony Buttons lives alongside our Lusitano horses and is ideal for children
We also offer livery and training for your own horse and have Lusitano horses and equipment for sale.
