Ribatejo Riding and River Experience

Come and discover Portugal's historic Ribatejo region on our two day tour. The Ribatejo is renowned for the excellence of its horses and vineyards and this is a great trip for horse lovers, families and anyone wanting to see more of Portugal and its traditional way of life.

From Lisbon you will cruise up the River Tagus on our motorboat- watching the city fall away behind you and the peace of the countryside unfold around you until you reach the town of Valada. Here you will be staying overnight in a traditional country house (quinta) and Lusitano horse stud. You can have riding lessons on Lusitanos, explore the countryside on horseback or mountain biking and enjoy sampling regional food and wine.

At the quinta there is a petting farm for children, a swimming pool, lounge with bar and snooker tables, three bungalows and several individual rooms. At the end of your stay you will return to Lisbon by boat once more. You can design your own package with as many activities and meals included as you like or just the boat trip and accommodation.
