Sailing in Madeira
Sailing in Madeira is memorable for many reasons from the breath taking island scenery to the wealth of marine life. Our trips offer you the chance to appreciate the natural beauty of the islands in different seasons and times of the day and watch the wild dolphins, whales, turtles, seals and marine birds go about their daily lives. To make the most of your trip we recommend bringing a camera and binoculars if you have them.
Sailing to Cabo Girão
Join us on our traditional sailing boat for a magical trip around Madeira. As we sail 5 or 6 nautical miles out to sea you'll get fantastic views of Madeira's south coast and lots of chances to see the whales and dolphins up close. Our friendly and experienced skipper with help you spot and identify Madeira's many marine mammals and birds and there'll also be good field guides on board for you to use as you wish.. Weather permitting we'll anchor near the base of Cabo Girão the 2nd highest sea cliff in Europe where you can take a refreshing dip in the clear blue waters. So don't forget your swimming costume and towel. The boat has a service bar, rest room and warm coats for you to borrow if the weather turns cold.

Sunset Sailing
For the perfect end to a day on Madeira sail out into the sunset with us! Leaving from Funchal marina at 18.30 we sail along the coast to the southermost point of Madeira Ponta da Cruz allowing you time to take in the remarkable scenery and marine life. Sip a complimentary glass of Madeiran wine as the sun sets over the islands and just relax and enjoy the view. The timetable is subject to seasonal changes.

Explore the Deserted Islands
This full day trip takes you to Madeira's aptly named Ilhas Desertas (Deserted Islands). The islands are a nature reserve and important breeding site for birds and monk seals and this trip offers you the opportunity to observe some extraordinary marine birds and mammals in their natural habitat. The boat trip lasts 3 ½ hours each way with spectacular views across the archipelago. We then anchor in a sheltered bay on the island of Deserta Grande where you can swim in the cyrstal clear water. A traditional lunch will be served on board followed by a 45 minute guided tour of the island. Sailing back to Madeira you'll arrive back in Funchal as evening falls. You'll find that travelling at different times of the day means that each journey offers you new and interesting sights. A great opportunity to enjoy Madeira's wild side!

Our classic sailing and motor boat is available for charter all year round. Our experienced crew will sail with you for to a destination of your choice within the Archipelago of Madeira. The trip will be tailored to your exact needs whether you just want to relax and enjoy the sun and scenery or have a specialist interest such as diving or birdwatching. Charters can last from half a day to several days- please contact us to discuss your exact requirements.
