Explore the wild and romantic beauty of the Sintra natural park on our guided hiking tour. Sintra was a favoured beauty spot for the ancient Romans, Arabs and generations of Portuguese royalty and aristocracy and is an UNESCO World Heritage Site rich with history, culture and natural beauty. It is a must see if you are visiting Lisbon and the local area and we can provide transport from the capital.

On the Sintra walking tour the guide will tell you more about the town, it's history, palaces and castles and the plant and animal life in the surrounding Natural Park. Upon arrival in Sintra there will be a free hour for you to stroll around the old town and enjoy a traditional local pastry. Then we will drive to Peninha high up in the Sintra hills for the start of the walk. As you wander along the woodland, mountain and coastal ways the guide will highlight interesting features of the landscape, flora and fauna and history. There will be plenty of time for photos as there are spectacular views over the countryside and coast.

The hiking tour lasts approximately two and a half hours then we will drive to the famous Guincho beach for lunch and a Port wine tasting. After lunch there is free time to relax on the beach before returning to Lisbon along the picturesque marginal road. This is a full day trip from 9.30am to approximately 5.30pm.
